Since Meredith O’Connor’s hiatus from music to attend University, she has announced the relaunch of the landmark mental health campaign “You Are Not Alone” and school program in collaboration with schools in the United Kingdom, Brazil, India, US and more which kicked off at UC Irvine and with the NYC Department of Youth and Safety. NGOs and non-profits including Slam Out Loud others have been mentioned by her as participating partners in the global curriculum and campaign. While in London, Meredith spoke to the press in radio interviews in London about the school program and it’s focus on mental health by bringing a curriculum to students to promote self-esteem. She shared that her arrival in London launched the expansion of the school program to colleges in the United Kingdom. She then discussed in the interview how she took the time out to visit Colleges in London where students got to meet the star, take photos and ask questions in a Q and A format.
As of September, she shared that several schools have begun to implement the curriculum in England, the United States, India and Brazil and more. Meredith O’Connor’s possible return to music has not yet been confirmed, however, she mentioned an upcoming music project in a recent interview and panel for The Grammy Museum.
